Know who you’re trading with

Find a service. Meet the members.

Browse service categories nationwide, then narrow by service and location. Sample profiles are marked “example”; saved member profiles appear alongside them.

Marketplace service rules

BartertoBarter is for legitimate services. Prostitution, sexual services, pornography, explicit adult content, sexual exploitation, trafficking, illegal drug sales, illegal weapons, threats, hateful abuse, scams, and fraudulent documents are prohibited.

All other services must meet applicable provider, licensing, insurance, and location requirements. Being listed in the service catalog does not mean a provider is approved.

Forms and saved submissions reject obvious prohibited wording. A full reporting and moderation process is still needed before public launch.

What do the credential statuses mean?

Not checked: no independent check has been completed.

Submitted: the member has supplied details for review. This does not mean the credential has been checked.

Checked: an independent check would record the authority or insurer, scope, date, and expiry. No profiles in this preview have a checked status.

Not finding what you’re looking for?

Try another service name or describe the help you need. You can search across all categories or ask providers by posting a request.

If this service is missing, a request from here adds its name to the service-suggestion queue for review.

Location filters match a member’s listed city. Confirm travel coverage with the provider.

Service suggestion review · owner only

This demonstrates how requested services can be reviewed and added to the directory. Suggestions and approved additions are stored in this browser only, not shared with other customers. A live site will need an owner account and a shared database.

Sample profiles are marked “example.” Sign in to save your own profile and activity.

Agree before you begin

Confirm the work, value, schedule, materials, and responsibilities. Any rush charge or extra labor belongs in the agreement.

Advice you can understand

Providers explain material choices and disclose supplier commissions. Customers approve purchases; providers approve suitability.

Keep a clear record

Agree on each service’s dollar value and keep a record of the trade. Credit amounts in this preview are examples, not spendable balances. Confirm applicable credentials, charges, and tax obligations.

What do you need?

Try the request flow. This preview creates a draft on screen; it does not publish or contact anyone.

Type to narrow the suggestions, then select your location. If your city is not listed, enter its name. Choose Online / nationwide for remote services.

Provider confirms compatibility and availability. Any supplied parts are quoted separately from labor, with cash or credits agreed before work.

Compare traditional cash costs

A helpful starting point for valuing your exchange. Choose the same work, inclusions, and pricing basis when comparing quotes.

Your local cash quotes

Enter up to three quotes from providers serving this area. Include the same scope and fees in each. These entries stay in this draft only. Changing the service, location, or pricing basis clears them for a fresh comparison.

Add local quotes to calculate their average.

This is an average of the quotes you enter, not a verified city market average. No live local pricing feed is connected.

Parts, travel, minimum call-out fees, taxes, and urgent appointments can change the price. Cash pricing is a reference for discussion; both members agree on the barter value.
